9 hours. 4 Arenas. 1 amazing night! The Summer Ball site spans a huge area across the Leek Road campus which transforms it from anything you will have experienced there before. Encompassing the Sports Centre which hosts the main stage, as well as greenfield areas for our free fairground, this really is a night to remember...

DJ Ironik Mobo-nominated and with his second album, Music Legend, soon to be released DJ Ironik is set to bring his mix of R&B, grime, pop and hip hop to the Summer ball 2010. With hits like Tiny Dancer (Hold Me Closer) featuring Chipmunk and having collaborated with Tinchy Stryder, Wiley and Elton John amongst others, he's definitely one not to miss on the night! 	Wideboys Platinum-selling UK House and Garage record producers, Ministry of Sound regulars (check out their 'Ministry of Sound: Addicted to bass 2010') and re-mixers to some of the biggest tunes around, the Wideboys are set to well and truly mix things up on this year's LRV Stage. Responsible for chart smashes like Frankie Goes To Hollywood's Power of Love revamp and follow up single Two Tribes, you can expect a slamming DJ set stacked full of remixes covering artists from Rihanna and the Pussy Cat Dolls through to Little Boots and Lily Allen. The Summer Ball’s Main Stage sees the Sports Hall transformed into an amazing, huge live venue that will host a range of fantastic live acts and DJs taking you through to early morning – line up to be revealed!

	The LRV stage will be have some of the biggest tunes around, from local DJ Gaz Ryder, Legends regular DJ SK and The Wideboys set to well and truly mix things up.

Get the adrenaline going for the biggest night of the year with the Summer Ball’s very own fairground, including Dodgems and Waltzers (by popular student demand!) – and it’s FREE! A word of advice – you might want to hit the fairground before trying our special Summer Ball cocktails!

	Get ready for one of the most surreal experiences in the Summer Ball - expect to see a room full of students pulling shapes and singing along to the noises in their head – when everything around them is in silence Get your wireless headphones Choose the live DJ and tracks you want to listen to (from several channels on your headphones) Forget anyone else is around and throw some moves (or just watch the weird scene unfold as people dance and sing to music that only they can hear!).

You've got dressed up and out with your mates for your last big night of the year - so make sure you get the photos to remember it by. There'll be a professional photographer set up all night at the event so you can get portrait shots of you and your friends, housemates and course mates. Professional portrait shots will cost £10 for a 9"x 6" mounted picture. Costs have been frozen for the third year running to give you the best value possible.

	Get even more glitz and glamour from the Summer Ball with a VIP ticket. You’ll be greeted with a champagne reception, enjoy the special VIP Lounge as well as priority access to the main stage and also receive complementary hot buffet and drinks.

After you’ve ridden the Fairground, danced to the Silent Disco, listened to a fantastic range of DJs and watched our live artists (not to mention sampled our special Summer Ball cocktails!), you might be ready to sit down, chill out with your mates and recharge before you get back to the action. That’s where our chill out area comes in! Relax with your mates on comfy bean bags before you get back to the Ball.

	There'll be lots of tasty food on offer to keep you going between all the other attractions the Summer Ball has to offer. Sweet and savoury crepes will be available, as well as a carvery outlet serving delicious roast pork, hot sandwiches, spicy sausages, wedges and loads more including plenty of vegetarian options.
